Republican John Doak Responds to Recent Attacks

Nov. 1, 2010 TULSA, OKLA. – John Doak today released the following statement:

“Recent, misleading attacks by my opponent’s campaign appear to be a last-ditch effort to discredit me personally and to attempt to shift the focus of this campaign away from the fact that my opponent was a 2008 Oklahoma delegate for Barack Obama.

“The endorsements of U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, M.D., and U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe speak volumes in regard to my capability to lead the Oklahoma Insurance Department and to protect Oklahomans. My campaign has also been endorsed by former Congressman J.C. Watts, former U.S. Senator Don Nickles, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner Dana Murphy and Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner Jeff Cloud.

“I share Oklahoma’s conservative values and am passionate about acting in the best interests of Oklahomans. As Insurance Commissioner, I will ensure that Oklahoma families and businesses are protected and that the companies regulated by the Oklahoma Insurance Department are held accountable for their actions.”
