TULSA, OKLA – According to a June 22 release issued by the White House, Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland was an official participant of the 90-day celebration of the Affordable Health Care for America Act.
Holland also served as an Oklahoma delegate for President Barack Obama at the 2008 National Democratic Convention.
Holland, who attended the Sarah Palin event held in Tulsa in September, has made efforts to distance herself from her ties to Obama.
In an interview on KTOK on Sunday, Holland was asked whether she attended the 90-day celebration of the health care bill. Holland avoided answering. Instead, she said that she did not attend the signing of the bill in March.
“I believe voters have a right to know that the current insurance commissioner has supported Obama, who lost in every county in Oklahoma, and the extent of her involvement in furthering the liberal national agenda,” Doak said. “In November, Oklahomans will have the opportunity to elect officials who share their conservative values. I am confident that they will choose leaders who will protect Oklahomans’ interests.”
As the General Election nears, candidates continue to distance themselves from the Obama Administration as the president’s approval rating continues to drop.
