Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland, elected to a full four-year term in 2006 after being appointed by the governor a year earlier, did not have a Democratic opponent.
Three Republicans have filed for the post — John Doak, of Tulsa, Mark Croucher, of Jenks, and former Insurance Commissioner John Crawford, of Oklahoma City. Crawford served one term as insurance commissioner and was the subject of an FBI investigation regarding a computer software contract when he lost re-election.
